Aseneth May Castaneda

A musician, dancer, actress and avid journal writer, Aseneth has engaged in many art forms in her life. These art forms continue to inspire and give root to her practice as an artist today. She loves to learn from and engage with artists in their own creative process. Aseneth loves collaboration. She loves the ability art has to provoke thought, express human condition, and speak into the issues of the era. She als loves to find ways to slip humor and fun  her art! A wise professor once advised her "Don't take your art too seriously." Aseneth is still learning that he is right. If you are an artist you are choosing to invest in your art. Don't waste your time. See every side of it. Work for excellence, enjoy it, find humor in it, Love it, even when it's imperfect, because reality is it will always be imperfect. My faith in Christ greatly influences my life story, and my artistry. Dance and music have grown into languages for me to connect with God, and creatively declare his beauty and love.

Evan Donovan

Evan Donovan mainly writes poetry, though he has an idea for a fantasy novel he'd like to write some day. His poems are heavily influenced by writers such as John Donne, George Herbert, William Blake, Gerard Manley Hopkins, and John Donne. He views his poetry as a kind of prayer, a way to express feelings about God more clearly than could be done in ordinary words. He worships at Christ the King Dorchester with his wife and son.

"Culture is the sum total of what a people know, believe, think, experience, build and create... Art functions as both the soil for cultural growth and the fruit that it yields."
