Tenebrae

No price was too high for our creator to call us back into a living relationship with Him...

I find this portion of the definition for Tenebrae, that is given by the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, a very clear picture of the purpose of Tenebrae: "Tenebrae is a prolonged meditation on Christ’s suffering. Readings trace the story of Christ’s passion, music portrays his pathos, and the power of silence and darkness suggests the drama of this momentous day. As lights are extinguished, we ponder the depth of Christ’s suffering and death..."

Seven Hills Presbyterian Church and Artists Ministry invite you to join us for Tenebrae.

Through Scripture, Art, and the extinguishing of candles, we will meditate on and remember the suffering that was required of Christ in order to bring about our Salvation and Redemption.

Tenebrae will take place:

Date: April 10th

Location: Seven Hills Presbyterian Church

204 Elm Street, Somerville, MA, 02145
